Rhian Davies
SCITT Programme Manager

After completing her degree in Psychology and Criminology, Rhian worked in the area of mental health with drug users/offenders, and as a resettlement officer with young homeless people. This inspired her to work in education and lead to her studying the PGCE.

Rhian started her teaching career in Cheshire. During this time she worked closely with Keele University delivering lectures to the Social Science PGCE trainees. This focused both on subject specific teaching practice and on the role of the tutor in delivering Citizenship/PSHE.

Rhian later took up a position in Wiltshire as Head of Psychology and Sociology and as a member of the wider Senior Leadership team. Rhian spent two years in Thailand as the Head of Psychology at a British international school, teaching pupils from all backgrounds and nationalities, the majority being EAL.

Returning to the UK in 2013, Rhian continued to teach Psychology, whilst also taking on the role of Lead Practitioner for ITT and the Professional Tutor at RWBA, before taking on her current position as SCITT Programme Manager in January 2015.
